standard tray including cosmetics) and, at the 96-hour reading, it was positive for thimerosol (1+) and nickel sulfate (1+). Tretinoin was tested at 0.005% and 0.01% in an alcohol solution and 0.05% in vaseline. The test was positive for the 0.05% concentration only, with a reaction intensity of 1+ in both readings: at 48 and at 96 hours. The occurrence of a high intensity and a rapid onset of a dermatitis condition, with the formation of vesicles and blisters after the tretinoin peeling is still a relatively unknown event. No similar case has been reported in prior literature. Standardization of tretinoin patch testings is defective due to the irritating nature of retinoic acid. Different tretinoin concentrations were used in some case reports.4,5 Despite its exuberance, the onset of this condition took place before 24 hours after the peeling application, and tretinoin positivity was only observed at the highest concentration, which maintained the same intensity of 1+ at the 48and 96-hour readings, which suggests irritant contact dermatitis. Patient has been under dermatology follow-up, using topical medications, and submitted to salicylic acid peeling at 30%, without intercurrent events. Despite the intense adverse reaction, patient progressed to full recovery. q

Inflammatory myxohyaline tumor of the distal extremities is an extremely rare low-grade sarcoma with a tendency to produce local recurrence after surgical excision, but with a low metastatic potential. We present the case of a 49-year-old woman with a slow-growing asymptomatic tumor on the right pretibial region that was initially considered to be a lipoma. Histopathology revealed the presence ...

Myxoinflammatory fibroblastic sarcoma (MIFS) is a rare, painless, and intermediate (rarely metastasizing) fibroblastic tumor, which commonly occurs in the extremities, with an equal sex predilection. This sarcoma is composed of a mixed inflammatory infiltrate along with spindled, epithelioid, and bizarre tumor cells in a background of hyaline and myxoid areas. In spite of such a distinctive mor...
متن کاملClear cell sarcoma of the hand: a case of malignant melanoma of soft parts
A case is reported with clear cell sarcoma (CCS) of the hand. Early diagnosis of clear cell sarcoma is always difficult due to its slow growing nature, benign clinical appearance, lack of pigmentation in most cases, and relatively young age of patients which make it to clinically appear as a benign soft tissue tumor. We report a case of clear cell sarcoma of hand in a 56 year old male with a no...

Extra skeletal chondroma (ESC), also referred to as chondroma of soft parts, is a benign soft tissue tumor composed mainly of hyaline cartilage with no connection to bone or periosteum. It is a very rare, slow progressing, benign tumor with a predilection for hands and feet [1]. It can sometimes be misdiagnosed as a synovial cyst or a more serious condition such as synovial sarcoma. These tumor...
